Originally it’s a children’s book, but it is also readable for adults.

The I in the story is stranded with his plane in an African dessert, where he meets the little prince. This little guy has been hopping from planet to planet and from star to star to get the answers to his questions. Every person on each planet/star symbolizes an aspect of the adult world, the culture and society we live in. There is for example the king who wants to rule everything, the businessman who counts the stars and wants to own them to gain from them. This are only two examples of the seven people he meets, but they all are part of the world we as grown humans live in. The little prince and with him the children who read this book have to learn how this world works. For the adults who read this story it’s time to reflect and ponder.

This is the fifth book in the famous and by now classic story of Harry Potter the teenage wizard. “He-who-must-not-be-named” is back now for only a little while and the world already isn’t the same anymore. People fight a lot, Hogwarts is taken over by the Ministry of Magic (which is not a good thing), Harry Potter is being portrayed as a liar and last but not least “the order of the Phoenix” is being formed again after almost 16 years. So much for a quiet year.

I read all the other four books before reading this one and after being totally impressed by book 3 (Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban) and 4 (Harry Potter and the goblet of fire) I had high expectations for this one.I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. I couldn’t find the depth of book 3 and the suspense of book 4. Nontheless, the book is entertaining enough to keep you reading, although I think it is just 200 pages too long.

A nice little story told in journal form. Cassandra is the one who is telling the story about her life and love(s).

She lives in a castle where also live: her strange father, stepmother Topaz, sister Rose, brother Thomas and help Stephen. When the family of which they rent the castle, comes to England (from the USA) the story really sets of. Two young men, Simon and Neil, belong to that family and steal the harts of Rose and Cassandra with whom Stephen is hopelessly in love.

Enough romance for a book full intrigues and troubles of all sorts. The story is told with humor and great spirit. If you like romance you should try this book.
