the other book review

One of my dreams is work­ing in or own­ing a book store. What plea­sure it would be to work between books, to see thou­sands on shelves, to see them all new and I would be the first one to take a peak.

Well, my dream came true last week. As of last Tues­day I work at The Amer­i­can Book Cen­ter. It is a book shop here in The Nether­lands, that only sells British and Amer­i­can books (and mag­a­zines). I’m just ecstatic!

Last week­end I worked my first three days and it was great. What I already noticed about work­ing with books is, you have to try not to get too greedy. It is way too easy to grab every book you had on your wish list.
Well…I could con­tain myself and only went home with two ‘new’ sec­ond­hand books.

Let’s see what the future has in (book) store for me.
