cocktail time — p.g. wodehouse

Frederick, Earl of Ickenham, is still a boy at heart. He is loud, some would say obnoxious, optimistic and sociable very present. But when he hangs out of a window in his favorite pub and catapults the hat off of his brother in law, a grumpy barrister, he couldn’t have imagined what kind of actions he sets in motion. Actions he will be in over his head, but also enjoys tremendously. Who could have thought that a catapult could result in a scandalous bestseller, a film script, strange romantic entanglements and the awakening of a dodgy couple.

Highly enjoyable read. The fast pace with which the novel is written, the lively characters and their choices and actions will keep you reading until you are tired laughing. Wodehouse has really hit the spot again with this Uncle Fred novel. And if you hadn’t had enough of this lovable creature that is called Uncle Fred, there is always Uncle Dynamite to read.
