in her shoes — jennifer weiner

4 stars

Two sisters: Rose, the dependable one, and Maggie, the free spirit. It seems the only thing they have in common is their shoe size and their taste in shoes.
When Maggie is in trouble (again, I might add) and Rose is, again, the one who can pick up the pieces, their relationship is really stretched to its limit. Maggie showing no respect to her sister and her way of life, really goes too far when she is caught in her sisters bed with her sisters boyfriend. Rose now completely loses it and throws Maggie out. Out, to never ever come back.
And that is the moment both their lives completely change. Maggie learns from her long lost grandmother Ella what it means to respect people and not just use them. Rose learns that there is more to life than work as a lawyer and that there are nice men who want to be with her.
After some time both sisters are doing fine by themselves, but will they ever reconcile?
